The new New Universal Credit monthly payment rates change from 1st April 2023.
Most Universal Credit claimants will have their payments increased once the new financial year starts.
People with disabilities or health conditions that limit their ability to work may get extra on top of their standard Universal Credit payments. Payments to carers who look after somebody for 35 hours a week will also increase.
If you need support regarding these changes, please contact your nearest Citizen Advice Centre or visit understandinguniversalcredit.gov.uk for more information on Universal Credit.
