Running a marathon is no small feat.

It takes strength, resilience, and the courage to keep going – mile after mile – even when it hurts.

For many vulnerable people in Surrey, life can feel like a marathon they never signed up for. Each day brings new challenges: poverty, poor mental health, lack of support, or barriers to education and employment. Like runners hitting “the wall,” they push forward, often without the help they need.

When you run with Surrey Care Trust, your challenge becomes a symbol of theirs. Every mile you conquer helps someone else keep going. Every step forward is a step toward hope, opportunity, and a second chance at a brighter future.

Run for a purpose, run to make the difference with #teamSCT

Whether you are running your first marathon or have secured your own spot through the public ballot, #teamSCT invites you to join a community of passionate runners making a real impact for vulnerable people in Surrey.

By signing up with Surrey Care Trust, you are not just another runner – you become part of a team that offers personalised support and a true sense of belonging. When you run with Surrey Care Trust, you are not just chasing a finishing line—you fuel hope for people who need it most and make an incredible difference to the lives of those in need.

Why Run with #teamSCT?

When you join #teamSCT, you are not just running for yourself – you are running to change lives.

Making every mile count

We understand that fundraising can feel overwhelming at times, but you have the full support of the Surrey Care Trust fundraising team whenever you need it. Every pound you raise goes directly toward helping vulnerable people right here in Surrey, making a real and lasting impact.

You are not just running to cross the finish line – you are running to give others the opportunity for a better life.

Here’s how your marathon fundraising could make a difference:

  • £50 could support a young person with a 1:1 session from a trained mentor
  • £100 could help pay for a series of counselling sessions for a young person facing social, emotional, and mental health challenges
  • £250 could help provide life skills experiences for a young person not in education, employment, or training.
  • £500 could help provide educational support to a young person struggling in mainstream school

Each mile run and each pound raised helps someone take a step forward.

If you have secured your own marathon place through the public ballot, but you still want to join #teamSCT to raise much-needed funds for vulnerable people in Surrey, we would love to have you join us.
