Volunteer

Volunteers are at the heart of Surrey Care Trust – we could not continue without them. If you would like to make a difference to your local community, get in touch.

Every year we recruit, train, support, and work with hundreds of local people across the county.  Our 200+ trained volunteers provide practical advice and support and engage in a range of nature based activities. We provide all the training and resources you need while our staff provide regular support.

In no time, your volunteering will be one of the most rewarding parts of your week.

As our services and activities change to meet people’s needs so does our range of volunteering opportunities. We are currently looking for volunteers for:

  • Steps2Work Mentoring: long term support for people struggling with their mental health and employment
  • Wellbeing Mentoring: long term one to one support for vulnerable young people struggling with poor mental health
  • Swingbridge Community Boats: wellbeing trips and activities for vulnerable people and community groups
  • Gateway Garden: wellbeing activities for vulnerable people and families
  • 5 Peak Hikeathon Stewards: we are looking for people to help us support our 5 Peaks walkers as they take on the challenge of walking Surrey’s hills. Just a few hours as a checkpoint steward makes all the difference!

Click here to get in touch and find out more.

The team are just wonderful, the work they do at the Trust, helping families in Surrey it’s really worthwhile, I really recommend it!

"To be honest I probably get as much out of mentoring as they do, as it's so fulfilling."
