It Takes All Kinds of Mums

'Mothers' come in all shapes and sizes! Some are related to us, others are connected by their sheer love and care. Today we celebrate the power of 'motherhood', in all its forms.

Whether it’s your mum, grandma, a favourite aunt, teacher, or friend, the women in our lives shape and define us in ways both large and small; they have the power to comfort us, encourage us, care for us, and provide for us in more ways than most of us can possibly name.

From the beginning, our mothers can play a key role in helping to determine who we will become in life. Children who are loved, nurtured, encouraged, and spend their formative years in a safe and secure environment, typically grow up to be healthy, well-adjusted, confident adults. Conversely, infants that spend their formative years in a high-stress environment, unsure that their needs will be met, can grow up to be anxious adults who have difficulty in developing meaningful bonds.

This is why we offer a variety of support to parents, to help them take of themselves and their families. More information can be found here.
