Designed to improve the mental health of people experiencing unemployment, this free and unique programme combines a holistic combination of 1:1 support from experienced staff and trained volunteer mentors, and nature based therapy activities.
- Working from community hubs in Woking, Reigate, and Stanwell, the team can:
- Work with beneficiaries to identify their needs, aspirations and mental health challenges
- Develop goals and next-steps for employment & positive mental health
- Match clients with volunteer mentors who can provide long term support
- Offer optional group nature-based therapy sessions
The service is intended to help people of working age who are struggling with their mental health and employment, especially:
- Carers and young carers
- Adults with learning disabilities and/or autism
- Young people out of work People with serious mental illness
- People experiencing homelessness
- People from marginalised communities e.g. Traveller community, Refugees etc.
- People experiencing domestic abuse
- People with drug and alcohol problems
