It’s Children’s Mental Health Week!

At our heart is the desire to make a positive difference to people's life chances - especially children.

Children’s Mental Health Week is designed to shine a spotlight on the importance of children and young people’s mental health.

Last year, the Children’s Commissioner discovered that, out of 550,000 children surveyed, 20% were worried about their mental health, especially older girls aged 16-17. The Commissioner goes on to say:

In 2020/21, almost half a million children in England were referred to Children and Young People’s Mental Health Services.

This is why our Stanwell Family Centre supports local families, why our volunteer mentors support young people and families across the county, and why we offer free counselling and support from our Wellbeing Mentors.

We know how important childhood can be and why we are dedicated to supporting the children, young people, and parents who are most affected by life’s challenges.

Get in touch if you would like to be involved in this work, or if you think we can help you.
