The formal transition took place on the 16th of February, marking a new chapter for the charity as it continues its mission to tackle disadvantage, social exclusion, and hardship across Surrey.
Sir Adrian White leaves behind a formidable legacy, having championed the Trust’s work in providing life-changing skills, mentoring, and support for thousands of vulnerable people across Surrey. His tenure saw the expansion of vital programmes, including the award-winning Swingbridge Community Boats and the Trust’s extensive volunteer mentoring network.
Incoming President Richard Whittington, DL brings a wealth of experience leadership and community service. A Deputy Lieutenant of Surrey and former High Sheriff, Richard has a deep-rooted commitment to the County. His background includes senior leadership roles in business, industry, education, and the NHS, alongside a long-standing history of supporting and involvement with Surrey charities.
