On 21st October 2025, a large group of staff, guardians, volunteers, supporters and Thales UK (CSR ambassador) attended the prestigious event held at RHS Wisley.
Honoured with multiple awards celebrating excellence in community horticulture, inclusion, and environmental stewardship, the charity, which helps vulnerable people improve their skills, mental health, and wellbeing by harnessing the power of the natural environment was recognised and celebrated again!
As the winners were announced, the Gateway Garden team stepped up on stage to receive the Gold Award and Overall Category Winner for ‘Gardening with Young People’, a brand-new In Bloom award this year.
In addition, the charity proudly received:
· Gold Award (Overall Winner) – Environmental Challenge
· Gold Award – Wildflowers & Weeds
· Silver Gilt Award – Our Community
· Outstanding – It’s Your Neighbourhood
Receiving the Category Winner and Gold Award for Young People’s Gardening was particularly special to us. A true celebration of the passion, creativity and commitment of Gateway’s Community young gardeners.
Community gardens transform lives and landscapes. This is a fantastic achievement and a great tribute to everyone who has made Gateway such a success over the last six years. Our entire garden community comes together, giving countless hours of time and dedication to foster a wonderful sense of professionalism, pride and teamwork.
We are incredibly proud to support vulnerable families, young people and adults struggling with poor mental health. The project stands as a shining example of how kindness and collaboration can transform a community, inspiring pride, purpose and positivity while protecting and enhancing this much-loved green space.
