Endeavour's endeavours

Regular updates on the environmental work carried out by our volunteer Swingbridge Endeavour crews.

So it was a small group on the boat again today.

We motored upstream, pausing a while 100m below the Jumping Bridge to cut back a tree that was hanging over the river. J expertly manoeuvred the boat while the rest of a us set about the offending branches.

We had a sharp shower just as we arrived at Shalford Meadows, so we were a little late in starting to tackle the next phase of the Shalford Steps. Nevertheless with everyone now experienced in step construction, plus K The Human Dynamo on the team, we managed to install a further three steps in about 90 minutes!
