Endeavour's endeavours

Regular updates on the environmental work carried out by our volunteer Swingbridge Endeavour crews.

Myself and 5 others set off to Burpham after enjoying some yummy pastries provided by N – thank you!  We decided to walk around the lake to see how many dog holes were left.  There are two larger ones on the further side of the lake and several smaller ones on the side closer to the boardwalks.  We gathered more materials and completed another dog hole whilst B got on with his litter duty.  We then went to inspect the ditch and found it was quite full of water but not particularly flowing.

On the way out a hire craft handed us a weekend bag they had found floating in the river near the Row Barge.  It was full of a mans’ belongings and we managed to find a couple of slips of paper with a name and telephone number.  The number didn’t answer so we decided that N would drop the bag off at Guildford police station.

Still lots of youngsters on paddle boards and canoes on the river although all were very well behaved.
