We are delighted to announce that we have received funding from the Community Foundation for Surrey to support our much-loved Swingbridge Community Boats programme, helping even more people across Surrey access wellbeing, learning and community opportunities on the county’s waterways.
Our Swingbridge Community Boats provide a unique space where people of all ages and abilities can build confidence, develop new skills and experience the positive impact of spending time on the water. Through wellbeing trips, conservation activities and volunteering opportunities, the programme supports individuals who may be experiencing isolation, poor mental health, unemployment or other life challenges.
Thanks to this generous funding, we will be able to continue delivering accessible activities aboard its award-winning boats, helping participants connect with nature, improve their wellbeing and strengthen their sense of belonging within the community. The funding will also support opportunities for volunteers to gain practical experience, learn new skills and contribute to environmental conservation projects along Surrey’s waterways.

Every year, our Swingbridge Community Boats programme enables participants to enjoy therapeutic river trips, take part in conservation activities, build friendships and develop valuable skills in a safe and supportive environment. With the support of Community Foundation for Surrey, these opportunities can continue to reach those who need them most.
